Post Blue-tongue Lizard drinking
My mate & I were having a look around an almost dried up water hole, when out of the scrub came this Blue-tongue Lizard. The lizard must have been very thirsty – it wandered right past us without any hesitation as it headed straight for the centre of the water hole. The lizard was so close I couldn’t get a shot with the 70-300mm lens, but I managed to switch to the 40-150mm & snap a couple of captures before the lizard had finished it’s drink. Unfortunately there was a lot of reeds in the way, but I was happy I captured it’s blue-tongue lapping up the water.

A great experience, and good work getting the lizard and not the fronds in focus :) I actaully don't mind the fronds in the fg, though no doubt others will disagree. To me, they add a secretive feel to the image, and the behaviour is one that I imagine would be quite secretive, so well captured :)

Yeah, I don't mind the reeds either, except the big green one in the middle maybe. Nice work Adam :)
