Post Dusky Moorehen (Gallinula tenebrosa) Torrens River Park West
Dusky Moorehen (Gallinula tenebrosa) Torrens River Park West Beach SA
Canon EOS 40D Lens 100-400mm L IS USM at 250 mm ISO 400 F5.0 1/1250 fill flash 21 October 2009
Taken to show how repeated criticism in forums contributes to bird behavioural changes. Following repeated comments such as .. a little more head turn..more head turn would improve this image etc. It is now becoming evident that some birds are now becoming very difficult to photograph as a direct result of these human comments that are reaching knee jerk response in comments. Your help to reduce this flow on detrimental affects is sincerely requested. Oh! Just because this image was taken in SA is not a reflection on those humans living in that state. The phenomenon is Australia wide.
Best regards

 Great shot, Rod! Love the submerged head with the water circled around the head and the water droplets, very unique and image! We often say "a little more head turn would be nice" when we have nothing to critique ;) So, a little more head turn would be nice, Rod! ;)

  Photographer, scientist, birdo and now.... comedian. Love the shot and particularly how you have captured the water around its neck. This species will be a survivor because its behaviour gives it an advantage over its peers in this increasingly critical world. Natural selection at its best and I estimate that in a thousand years, if critiques don't change, it will evolve to swim under water. :) ;)
