Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis molucca) - on a 'twig'
Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis molucca) on a 'twig' in a tree. After wading at the pond this one flew up into the tree just in front of me and 'posed' for a classic bird on a twig shot. These have to be one of the ugliest birds. K-7, Bigma @500mm, ISO400, 1/640, f/8, Tripod.

Hi Kym, Looks like a youngish bird (beak seems on the short side and not as weathered as an adult). The exposure of the head looks a tiny bit dark but the wing/body looks spot on (they really are a very dirty white looking bird are'nt they ) and it looks sharp as . Again, the format looks a little squarish and the bird could do with some space in front of it, but I really love the angle. I think your dedication (getting in the water ) has paid off for sure. Well done, Paul P.S. Whats the other forum you are on?

Hi Kym, Nice capture and well done for wading! Like the overall feel of this image. More than just a bird on a stick - more atmosphere. Agree wit Paul again on the comp I'd take a bit of the contrast out of it myself - maybe try pulling the midtone slider to the left a bit in levels. Just looks a bit dark/heavy on my monitor.
