PhotoTwitch – Winner

The results are now in for the inaugural Australia-wide PhotoTwitch. Judging by the participants comments, the event was a great success with every participant reporting that they very much enjoyed the competition (surely the most important way to judge a contest). Inclement weather in the southern states had a big impact on the totals, although many participants reported surprise at how high their totals were against the odds.

So we have a clear winner. Grant (Pictorella) with 85 species. Not bad for a mere 5 hours before rain forced him indoors. Congratulations Grant.

There were 8 participants, 6 from NSW, 1 from Qld and one from NT

The total number of eligible photos taken was 514

That is an average of 64 species per contestant

The total number of unique species was 213. A full species list will be posted separately.
