The results are now in for the inaugural Australia-wide PhotoTwitch. Judging by the participants comments, the event was a great success with every participant reporting that they very much enjoyed the competition (surely the most important way to judge a contest). Inclement weather in the southern states had a big impact on the totals, although many participants reported surprise at how high their totals were against the odds. To me the colour looks perfect as is judging by the section of Samphire, and the composition technically correct with more space in the direction the way the subject is looking...but really it comes down to personal opinions....a tough descision to make.Anyway, lovely typical pose of these interesting little birds, well detailed especially the eye, face features, part of the breast are just a little soft, lacking fine detail, but the male of this species seems to come out like that in 99% of...S... - Australian Bird Images | Re: Soooo many birds18 March 2010, 11:43 am

Ah, that's interesting regarding the ID of the Adelaide Rosella, the ones I've photographed I just called Crimsons, I didn't realise these were officially called Adelaides. I agree that I think the more subtle colours are extra nice on this species.Nice detailed image, may be my monitor but it looks just a tad dark, or in shadow, mind you I personally prefer a little under exposed to be honest rather than bright....looks great.This was the tank at Monarto { Browns Road} by the look of it....popp...
